| Job Description |
An integral member in ensuring air support for Army battlefield and peacetime operations is the Army aircraft pneudraulics repairer. This specialist is primarily responsible for maintenance on aircraft pneudraulics. Duties include:
- Servicing and maintaining pneudraulics systems and related subsystems and assemblies
- Making tubes and hoses
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting related problems
- Storing hydraulic fluids and flammable materials
- Preparing related forms and records on aircraft maintenance
Training
To become an Army aircraft pneudraulics repairer, you must complete nine weeks of basic training, which consists of basic soldiering skills, and 11 weeks of advanced individual training. Classroom and in-the-field instruction covers:
- Principles and concepts of hydraulics, fuel and electrical systems
- Repair work related to pneudraulic systems
- Repair of aircraft frames and coverings
