| Job Description |
The Air Force command post apprentice is an integral member of command centers around the world. This specialist is primarily responsible for linking the communications and computer system essential to the respective command center. Duties include:
- Operating equipment to control missile launch
- Implementing action plans for emergencies, disasters and high priority events
Training
Nearly every Air Force enlisted soldier undergoes six weeks of basic training, which consists of basic skills needed for Air Force activities. Advanced individual training is usually required for specialization. The length of time needed for advanced training varies depending on the area of specialization.
