The Air Force airborne mission systems apprentice is an important member in ensuring success in battle and peacetime operations. This specialist is primarily responsible for operating the electronic communications equipment on the aircraft. Duties include operating various types of radio equipment and maintaining and repair this gear.
Training
Nearly every Air Force enlisted soldier undergoes six weeks of basic training, which consists of basic skills needed for Air Force activities. Advanced individual training is usually required for specialization. The length of time needed for advanced training varies depending on the area of specialization.
