The Air Force air traffic control operations apprentice is an important member of the team staffing control towers and radar facilities. This specialist may be assigned to one or a variety of complex duties. Primarily the apprentice is responsible for providing the safe and orderly flow of aircraft in the air and at the airfield through the use of electronic equipment and radars
Training
Nearly every Air Force enlisted soldier undergoes six weeks of basic training, which consists of basic skills needed for Air Force activities. Advanced individual training is usually required for specialization. The length of time needed for advanced training varies depending on the area of specialization.
