The Navy mineman is an integral member in ensuring success in battle and overall efficiency. This specialist is primarily responsible for testing, maintaining and repairing mines and related equipment.
Training
Nearly every Navy enlisted soldier undergoes eight weeks of basic training, which consists of basic skills needed for Navy activities. Advanced individual training is usually required for specialization. The length of time needed for advanced training varies depending on the area of specialization.
